Additiv-Chemie Luers (ACL) is a market leader in developing additive packages for formulating water-based metalworking fluids. A metalworking fluid typically consists of a base oil, an emulsifier package, and, depending on the type, water and biocide. Non-ferrous metal inhibitors or EP/AW additives can also be added.

ACL offers a wide variety of packages:

• For conventional metalworking fluids (milky) >60% mineral oil. Our formulations offer various dosages and corrosion protection options, ranging from a 12% to 30% package combined with water and mineral oil.

• Customized semi-synthetic metalworking fluids (boron-free, boron-amine based, sulfonate-free)

• Packages for fully synthetic fluids (boron-free or boron-containing)

• Packages for metal cleaners

• Very low foaming and water hardness independent (from 0-1500 ppm)

• Biocide-free (bio-stable concept). If desired, conventional biocide treatment is also available

• Minimal hazard classification under the Hazardous materials regulations
